Re: Villa v Derby
Lansbury has only made 3 appearances for Villa in 2019. I don't think he figures in Dean Smith's plans. I've always liked him but he hasn't developed much since leaving us.

This game is 50-50. Hard to call and could go to penalties.

Villa will win. Better team, more experienced, more hunger after last year’s loss in final to Fulham.

Re: Villa v Derby
Villa are the better team but I’d like us to go for Jack Grealish so hopefully Derby win.
Then F Lampard leaves to become Chelsea manager and their best players go back to Chelsea & Liverpool
Always nice to have one relegation place sorted early

Re: Villa v Derby
I don't know if anyone noticed yesterday but Anton Ferdinand came on as a substitute for St Mirren in their play off second leg against Dundee United.
St Mirren survived on penalties and remain in the SPL. John Terry sent his congratulations apparently.

terry - Oddly, I was randomly channel flicking and that game came up just as old Anton came sprinting onto the pitch as a sub. Useless cunt.

Wouldn't mind seeing Villa suffer a bit more, so Derby for me but not really fussed.

I'd prefer Derby but I thinlk Villa will be stronger .

Re: Villa v Derby
Did Anton take one of the penalties?

6 out of 8 missed.

Wondered what happened to Anton
Still getting paid to play football at 34. Beats working
Good luck to him, cost us nothing & Sunderland gave us £8m for him.
Can remember seeing him in the away end at Palace when we were in the Championship (game where John Carew scored) & he was at QPR

I prefer if Villa go up...

Only because one my earliest memory of watching football was seeing Gary Shaw on MOTD and thinking to myself "He's more than a bit good"

So you knew at an early age you was a fudge packer?

Was a bit embarrassing for his Mum to see him knocking one out in front of the tv.

They never went back to that branch of Curry’s again

Tbf he was a looker with his boyish looks and blonde locks.

Manuel

I don't roll that way all power to the elbow of those who enjoy it though...

When you're 7 or 8 years old you identify with players who aren't that much older.

He was a good player though...got taken out at the knee by Ian Boyer of Forest and had to retire early.

Re: Villa v Derby
This is a tough one to call .

Villa, with logic, should win.

But Lampseeyeyey has his team resilient. Good in cup games.

I'm going 2-1 to "Frank Lampard's Derby County".

Ps: I am usually wrong.

Re: Villa v Derby
Derby for me all day long!

Firstly, I have an irrational hatred of Villa, don't ask me why though. Maybe that replayed cup game with them?

Secondly, I like to see any of our ex-players doing well as managers, whoever they are. It's good to see any success associated with our club

Well done to lee Bowyer for getting Charlton up at his first attempt. He's worked wonders there!

Like it or not, fat Frank has done a great job at Derby. He's a genuine football person in the same mould as his uncle Harry

At least it would bring a bit more spice to our game with Derby next season rather than a drab encounter with Villa

To be fair, I reckon fat Frank had a bit of a raw deal from us, despite him slagging us off at every opportunity. I think most of us would feel a bit bitter after seeing his dad & uncle sacked & replaced by that half wit Roeder

I hope villa win. if derby get up, no doubt the fat cunt will jump ship and replace sarri so I hope dean smith gets the result

Re: Villa v Derby
I'm not bothered today, just hope it's an exciting game. If pushed I'd probably go for Villa because that makes the Premier League 15% claret and blue! Plus they are a proper old football team with a proper English ground.

I'd love to see Sheff Weds come back soon. Another proper old club, unlike those bladey, thieving wankers across the street who have NO place in the top division.

Spandex

Palace used to wear claret and blue until Malcolm Allison took over.

You know, just in case it comes up in a pub quiz

Re: Villa v Derby
Don’t go for ‘proper football club’ go by how the fans would appreciate it as they make them into what is deemed a ‘proper football club’.......Villa fans are another set of entitled pricks and hated in Birmingham so a few more seasons getting some humility will do them no harm. Derby fans have been on the cusp plenty of times and deserve another go and in the PL.

Grumpster 12:38 Mon May 27
Re: Villa v Derby
Simple really, Villa is a much better away game with better pubs.
